Installation Instructions
To install this script, download the file listed above. Then follow these instructions:
1. Unzip the files included in the ZIP archive into whatever directory you desire.
2. Edit the DCCount98.pl script and change the variables in the Define Variables section. Particularly, you need to change the following variables:
$cgidir - Make it match your current directory where you have the script uploaded to. For every "\", make sure you have two "\\" as the "\" character is special.
$mainurl - Match your main HTTP directory.
$cgiurl - Match the URL to DCCount98.
3. Upload the script DCCount98.pl in ASCII mode to your \cgi-shl\ directory. It is advised that you create a subdirectory off of your main \cgi-shl\ directory such as \cgi-shl\dccount\.
4. Now, wherever you need to call the CGI script, use the following code:
<!--#exec cgi="/cgi-shl/dccount/DCCount98.pl"-->
Where the /dccount/ matches any subdirectory you used.
5. You should be done! If you have any problems, please post a message to the Hosted Sites Support WebBoard.
